Meet Kody Kim, the founder of KHM Tutoring. He has years of tutoring experience dating back to 2016 and currently works as a Financial Systems Analyst at HMSA. Kody has attended Punahou School and University of California, Irvine. He is a highly skilled educator with a high track record of improving scores, test-taking strategies, and grades. Through years of having multiple tutors himself, he understands first-hand how to involve students so that they learn the material. Meet Andrew Holzman, a medical student and former corporate lawyer who is an expert in standardized testing. Andrew attended Phillips Exeter Academy and the University of Chicago before qualifying as a solicitor in the UK. As a lawyer, Andrew practiced in London, Dubai and Sydney, Australia, representing some of the world’s leading financial institutions and acting in major pro-bono cases internationally. Wanting to devote more time to service to others, Andrew left the law to attend medical school at a top-20 US institution. Andrew’s hobby is standardized testing, and he is passionate about improving the performance of his students and developing curricula to promote mastery of material required by test specifications. He has authored an SAT curriculum used by hundreds of students to improve their verbal reasoning skills and also worked as a consultant for tutoring services seeking to enhance their offering and train their teachers.
Andrew’s 525 on the MCAT (scored from 528) puts him in the top 0.5% of the approximately 18,000 students who take the exam covering organic and biochemistry, general chemistry, physics, biology, critical reasoning and psychology. Andrew also regularly takes the latest SAT sittings and achieves perfect scores in evidence-based reading and writing as part of his ongoing commitment to mastery of the exam.
Additionally, Andrew provides strategic review of applications to college. His students have attended UC Berkley, UC Irvine, Stanford and Yale, among others. Andrew’s approach emphasizes teaching creative non-fiction as a genre so that students can write with a honed awareness of audience and purpose.

Meet Noah Agena, an aspiring mechanical engineer. Noah is a dedicated calculus and physics tutor with a strong foundation in STEM from Iolani School. As he pursues a degree in mechanical engineering, he combines his academic expertise with a genuine passion for teaching. Beyond academics, Noah is an avid basketball player who values teamwork, discipline, and perseverance—qualities he’s eager to share with his students to inspire their success. Noah’s goal is to empower students on their educational journey and help them reach their full potential.

Peter Greenhill

Meet Peter Greenhill, a graduate of Princeton University with a degree in Philosophy. He taught English, some Philosophy, and SAT test prep at `Iolani during his long tenure there from 1986-2021, where he also was a volleyball coach for twenty years and Director of the `Iolani Peace Institute for seventeen years. He also worked from 2012-2024 as a Program Dean and Dean of the Faculty at a summer academic program at the University of Cambridge in England. He has traveled extensively around the world and even lived in Japan for two years. In addition to English, he speaks Japanese and Italian fairly well.
Teaching and coaching have been lifelong passions of his, and he considers it a gift and a privilege to have had the chance to support so many wonderful students all these years. Other passions of his are writing–his work sometimes appears in newspapers and on-line sites–playing funk bass, reading voraciously, cycling, and taking part in activism for the benefit of the community and the world.

A proud graduate of Damien Memorial, Blythe now teaches at Damien, where she brings her expertise and enthusiasm into the classroom every day. Caitlyn Cortez

Meet Caitlyn Cortez, an elementary school teacher at Queen Kaʻahumanu Elementary. Armed with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of Portland and a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies and Graduate Certificate in Ethnomathematics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, she has been inspiring young learners for more than nine years. Her journey as an educator has taken her through teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, as well as serving as an English Learner teacher, where she supported students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds in building both academic skills and confidence.
Caitlyn’s teaching philosophy centers on equity, curiosity, and connection. She believes learning is most powerful when it is hands-on, meaningful, and tailored to students’ unique strengths and interests. Whether she’s designing authentic lessons aligned to national standards or creating small-group learning experiences, she ensures each student feels supported and challenged in equal measure.
